It is the foundation of the Tenzo lineup: a smooth, vibrant, USDA Organic ceremonial-grade matcha made from leaves grown in the volcanic soils of Kagoshima, Japan. Stone-ground using traditional methods, it has a naturally smooth body and subtle umami without bitterness, so it holds up in a milk latte and shines on its own.

How to prepare

Hot latte: whisk 1/2 teaspoon (about 1g) of matcha with 1 oz warm (not boiling) water until smooth and frothy, then add 6–8 oz steamed milk.
Iced latte: whisk or shake 1/2 teaspoon (about 1g) with 1 oz cold water until smooth, pour over ice and top with 6–8 oz cold milk.
Straight: whisk 1/2 teaspoon (about 1g) with 1 oz warm water, then add 5–7 oz warm water.
Pro tip: sift before whisking for the smoothest texture and best froth.
